Anzens Law Enforcement Request Policy

Anzens is committed to cooperating with legitimate law enforcement inquiries while protecting the privacy and security of our users. This policy outlines the procedures for law enforcement agencies seeking information from Anzens.

1. Legal Process Required:

  • Anzens will only disclose user information in response to valid legal process, such as a subpoena, court order, or search warrant, issued by a court of competent jurisdiction.
  • Requests must be properly served on Anzens’ designated legal agent.
  • Requests must be specific and clearly identify the information sought, the relevant time period, and the legal basis for the request.

2. Information We May Disclose:

  • Depending on the legal process and applicable law, Anzens may disclose user account information, transaction records, IP addresses, and other relevant data.
  • We will only disclose information that is necessary and proportional to the legal request.

3. User Notification:

  • Anzens will make reasonable efforts to notify affected users of a law enforcement request, unless prohibited by law or court order.
  • Notification may be delayed if we believe it would jeopardize an investigation or violate legal requirements.

4. Emergency Requests:

  • In cases of imminent danger or serious bodily harm, law enforcement agencies may submit emergency requests for information.
  • Emergency requests must be accompanied by a sworn statement outlining the nature of the emergency and the specific information required.
  • Even in emergency situations, Anzens reserves the right to require formal legal process.

5. International Requests:

  • Anzens will cooperate with international law enforcement requests that comply with applicable international treaties and domestic laws.
  • International requests must be submitted through established mutual legal assistance treaty (MLAT) channels or other lawful means.

6. Data Retention:

  • Anzens retains user data in accordance with our data retention policy and applicable laws.

7. Cost Reimbursement:

  • Anzens may seek reimbursement for costs associated with responding to law enforcement requests, as permitted by law.

8. Submission of Requests:

  • Law enforcement requests should be submitted to Anzens’ designated legal agent at support@anzens.com
  • Requests must be submitted in writing and include the following information:
    • The name and contact information of the requesting agency.
    • The badge number or identification of the requesting officer.
    • The case number or investigation reference.
    • A clear description of the information sought.
    • The legal basis for the request.
    • A copy of the legal process.

9. Policy Updates:

  • Anzens reserves the right to update this policy at any time.
